How long is BBL recovery? +
Most patients take 1–2 weeks off work and return to light activity. Full recovery takes 6–8 weeks. You'll need to avoid sitting directly on the buttocks for the first 2–3 weeks and wear a compression garment throughout early recovery.
When can I sit normally again after a BBL? +
Most patients can resume normal sitting, without a BBL pillow, around 3–6 weeks after surgery, once your surgeon confirms the transferred fat has stabilized. Until then, sitting directly on the buttocks risks compressing blood flow to the newly transferred fat cells.
When will I see my final BBL results? +
Initial swelling makes it hard to judge your shape in the first few weeks. Final results typically emerge at 3–6 months once swelling fully resolves and the surviving fat has settled into place.
How long do BBL results last? +
Results are long-lasting. About 60–80% of the transferred fat survives permanently and behaves like the rest of your body's fat, meaning it can be affected by significant weight changes but is otherwise stable. Maintaining a steady weight preserves your results.
Will I have scars after a BBL? +
Yes, but they're minimal. Fat harvesting uses the same small liposuction incisions as any lipo procedure, and fat injection uses tiny puncture sites in the buttocks. Scars are small and fade significantly over time.
Can I combine a BBL with other procedures? +
